Experience

Experience a unique all-inclusive vacation aimed to revitalize your mind, body and soul during a 5-day retreat in southern Utah's Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. 

  • Daily yoga led by a licensed yoga instructor
  • Daily hiking in in two National Parks including Zion and Bryce Canyon
  • Therapeutic workshops led by a licensed yoga instructor 
  • Wellness seminars led by an LCSW

Itinerary

10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Pick up from SLC International airport

12:00 pm: Depart SLC for retreat home Approx. 5 hour drive

6:00 – 6:30 pm: Orientation

7:00 – 8:30 pm: Dinner followed by free time

*It is recommended but not required to arrive a day before the retreat. We are unable to wait for anyone who may have flight delays or cancellations. Retreat guests will be required to find their own arrangements to the retreat home should their flight be delayed.

8:30 am: Yoga 

9:30 am: Breakfast Buffet

10:30 am: Pack lunch for hiking

12:00 – 5:00 pm: Hiking in Zion National Park (drop off and pick up at the Zion Museum; pick up will be at 5:00 pm)

7:00 – 8:00 pm: Dinner

8:00 – 9:00 pm: Wellness Workshop “The Habits of Happy People”

8:30 am: Yoga

9:30 am: Breakfast Buffet

10:30 am: Pack lunch for hiking

12:00 – 5:00 pm: Hiking in Zion National Park (drop off and pick up at the Zion Museum; pick up is at 5:00 pm)

7:00 – 8:00 pm: Dinner

8:00 – 9:00 pm: Guided Imagery Meditation session with optional head massage

8:30 am: Yoga

9:30 am: Breakfast Buffet

10:30 am: Pack lunch for hiking

11:00 am – 3:00 pm: Hiking Observation Point ( 7 miles, mainly flat )

3:00 – 7:00 pm: Free time to enjoy the hot tub, journal, take a nap, get an optional massage—anything you would like to do!

7:00 – 8:00 pm: Dinner

7:30 am: Breakfast, pack lunch for hiking and check out of retreat home

10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Hiking in Bryce Canyon National Park with lunch

5:00 pm: Return to Salt Lake City

*Please schedule your return flight home after 6 PM on Monday. We will not be getting back to SLC until after 5 PM.

  • Hiking poles and water shoes if you are doing the Narrows hike. You can rent them in town if needed.

Southern Utah typically enjoys over 300 days of beautiful sunshine each year. While the days are usually warm and sunny, the nights can be cold, so we suggest a light jacket to wear in the evenings.

Year-round Typical Temperatures (Low - High):

  • Winter (Dec-Feb): 35 - 60 degrees
  • Spring (Mar-May): 60 - 90 degrees
  • Summer (Jun-Aug): 70 - 100 degrees
  • Fall (Sept - Nov): 60 - 90 degrees

Your home while in Utah is a fabulous, privately owned house. It sits in a secluded area, on the east side of Zion National Park, and rests at 6500 feet elevation, nestled amongst Ponderosa Pines with awe-inspiring mountain views of true wilderness. 

The house has 6,000 square feet of luxury living with an additional 1,000 square feet of decks and balconies on nearly 2 acres of canyon ridge property in the heart of southern Utah, with immediate access to the stunning landscapes of Zion and Bryce National Parks. The home sits on the canyon rim of Zion Ridge. The stars are amazing, especially enjoyable from the hot tub. It is situated 7 miles from Zion National Park East entrance and next to the Zion Ponderosa Resort.

You can access many hikes in Zion National Park from here without having to drive into the park to catch the shuttle. There are no crowds on the way out to Observation Point, the East Rim Trail or Cable mountain from the trails here, just quiet and solitude.

  • Bedroom 6: 2 queen beds, private bath (basement level)
  • Bedroom 7: King bed, private bathroom (basement level)

All of the farm-to-table and plant-based healthy meals are prepared and cooked at the retreat home. There is something for everyone. The retreat can accommodate all dietary restrictions and allergies.

Optional Itinerary

Everything listed in the schedule is entirely optional. This retreat is aimed to allow you to rest, relax, and reset! If you choose to not join us for anything listed in the schedule, that is entirely your choice.

Availability

Spots are limited on this retreat. We keep our retreats small and intimate and will be limiting the group to 10-12 participants.

Cancellation Policy

A deposit of US$500 is required to book. Please provide a 30-day notice if you need to cancel. The retreat is non-refundable if canceled less than 30 days prior to the retreat. We kindly ask that if you are unable to attend, please postpone your retreat rather than cancel. We offer retreats several times a year.

Refunds & Transfers

Your payment is fully refundable until one month prior to the retreat start date. After that date, your payment is non-refundable due to the deposit on the retreat cabin. You may transfer your spot to another person if you wish or be granted a voucher for a future Walker Wellness Retreat.
