Itinerary

The adventure tour begins in Cork City from where you will visit Kinsale, the southern starting point of the Wild Atlantic Way. Kinsale is a beautiful harbor town with a rich maritime past. Explore Charles Fort and the Old Head of Kinsale. Then travel west along the Wild Atlantic Way. Today’s activity is cycling along the spectacular West Cork coastline. This is a beautiful ride with excellent views along the route and it is a perfect opening to your Wild Atlantic Way Adventure. Tonight’s accommodation is in West Cork Hotel.

Today's first stop is the Glengarriff Nature Reserve. Here, you'll hike through native oak and hazel woodlands and along gentle flowing streams. The hike takes 2h and 45 min. You'll then travel over the spectacular Caha Pass to the town of Kenmare. In Kenmare, you'll stop for lunch, after which you will have time to explore this heritage town and visit an ancient stone circle. The tour continues west on the Ring of Kerry and explores the beach towns on the route. Tonight’s accommodation is in Waterville, once a favorite vacation spot for Charlie Chaplin.

Explore the Iveragh Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. Cycle on the magnificent Valentia Island, steeped in history with some awesome scenery. There are views over the fishing village of Portmagee and out to the Skellig Islands, which were one of the filming locations for the latest installment of Star Wars. Tonight’s accommodation is in Killarney town. Here you can relax and unwind with a well-earned pint of Guinness. Killarney is wonderfully located on the edge of Killarney National Park and surrounded by the magical scenery of Killarney's lakes, ancient woodlands and mountains.

Today you will get a real sense of this region’s boundless energy and exquisite beauty. You will cycle through the wonderful Killarney National Park and Muckross Gardens. The route takes in much of the original national park, a beautiful waterfall and a circuit of Muckross Lake. After lunch, you'll continue around the park. You will have time to explore Killarney town and Killarney House. Tonight’s accommodation is in Killarney.

Today's tour takes you west from Killarney to the salty fresh-air playground of Inch Beach. Here you can take a life-affirming plunge in the ocean. You'll then continue west along the Slea Head Drive on the Dingle Peninsula. This is a spectacular drive with views of rugged coastlines and some of Ireland's remote Islands. You'll make a lunch stop in Dingle—a small town with great local art and craft stores as well as excellent artisan cafes. In the afternoon, you'll go on a hike that begins in a mixed deciduous Irish woodland of oak, ash and chestnut trees. The walk rises slowly, climbing out of the valley to be greeted with panoramic views of the mountains of Cork and Kerry. Tonight’s accommodation is in Limerick.

On the final day of the tour, there is still lots of adventure. Firstly, you will visit the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. You will arrive at the creatively built interpretative Center via a hike along the top of the mesmerizing cliffs. It is a fantastic hike with views out over the Atlantic to the Aran Islands and is one of the lesser-used paths. After lunch in Doolin, the tour will continue to The Burren National Park. The Burren is a unique landscape made up of limestone rock pavement, calcareous grassland, and ash and hazel woodland. The tour explores The Burren, where you can spot some fossilized ancient sea life and rare alpine flowers. You will have the option of returning to Dublin or Cork on the final day of the tour.
