About Castle Kalwar

The property is owned by a scion of the former ruling family of Kalwar and a highly decorated former general of the Indian army. He and his wife live in the castle and ensure that the guests are well looked after. The castle is a magical place featuring Rajputana decor and craftsmanship that has a centuries-old legacy. The interiors are flamboyant with portraits of ancestors in regalia, gilded antique furniture, high ceilings adorned with exquisite frescoes, pillared porticos and tall arched windows. The rooms have ornate king-sized beds, a vintage writing desk and high-class amenities. Each guest room faces the garden and pool deck.

*Best time to travel: September - March
