What We Love

This could be one of the swankiest spots in Dallas if we can say so ourselves. Everything about The Joule is cool. From how it got its name (the international unit of energy), the historic landmark building it occupies, the elegant interior, the classic furniture, the funky art collection to the cantilever swimming pool on the seventh floor that juts out over Main Street. Lest we forget about the two-level spa that features a crystal steam room, sauna, vitality pool with built-in air massage loungers, experience showers, pre and post-treatment relaxation areas and an ice fountain in a sprawling subterranean space. And coffee aficionados will certainly approve of the specialty coffee shop in the communal lobby. Guests say their cookies are worth getting out of bed for. We agree.

Spa

The Spa at the Joule is a sanctuary of calmness, offering a full range of services inspired to nurture mind, body and soul with all forms of energy. From focuses on body and beauty, there are plenty of treatment options to fill up an entire day and then some. The treatment menu incorporates atmospheric light therapy, Gua Sha, CBD oil and the spa's signature body ritual, which includes Himalayan salt exfoliation and the use of warm volcanic and jade stones. Spa amenities include a crystal steam room, sauna, vitality pool with built-in air massage loungers, experience showers, pre and post-treatment relaxation areas and an ice fountain in a sprawling subterranean space. Going off the radar never felt so good.

Activities

The Joule’s subterranean fitness center comes complete with top-of-the-line aerobic equipment, free weights, strength training machines, wellness balls, yoga mats, a group fitness studio and personal training. The rooftop infinity pool, however, is an activity in and of itself—giving the expression “hanging out by the pool” a whole new meaning. The unique 8-foot cantilevered heated pool provides daredevil guests the sensation of swimming out beyond the hotel’s edge while jutting out over the hustle-bustle of downtown Dallas.

CBD Provisions has an exceptional cocktail program overseen by acclaimed bartenders featuring updated classics, a wine list emphasizing outstanding small producers from Texas, California and France, and a beer program showcasing the burgeoning local craft brewing community.

Each of the 160 contemporary guest rooms and suites creates a unique experience. The 600-square-foot Premier room adds a little expanse to stretch out with comfortable in-room seating, Sferra linens and a minibar to indulge in local goodies. The large bathroom features double vanities, spa products and a large, blissful rainfall shower. The 465-square-foot Joule Suite is the perfect example of extra fluff without going over the top. The suite features a king-size bed, a pull-out sofa, executive desk area and oversized bathroom with a deep soaking tub, large rainfall shower and spa amenities. The Deluxe suites range from 750 to 1,000 square feet, with a king-size bed, a separate living room area, large bathroom with double vanity featuring a deep soaking tub and a large rainfall shower.
