What We Love

An essential part of a visit to Hartwell House is the opportunity to relax and enjoy the pleasures of the spa. The Hartwell Spa is situated within the Hartwell Court, just a short walk from the main house, and contains a generous-sized swimming pool, spa bath, steam room, saunas and well-equipped fitness center. Experienced therapists offer a wide range of treatments including forest aromatherapy. In the gallery overlooking the pool is the Hartwell Club Room, open to guests for self-service, complimentary tea, coffee, cookies and a selection of fruit.

Accommodations are found in the 48 guest rooms and suites all individually designed in a traditional country house style and superbly furnished with antiques and fine paintings. For a splurge, book the Hartwell Court suites, located in a two-story magnificent, restored 18th-century indoor riding school and stables on the approach to the main house and close to the spa. Some of the Hartwell Court suites have their own private entrance.
