SundayArrival

Arriving into Palma de Mallorca the transfer to the local town of Alcudia, the location of the Spain Fitness Bootcamp, takes approximately one hour on the A32 bus service (direct from the airport). A rep will be waiting to meet you off the bus on arrival in Alcudia and transfer you to your accommodation. You can arrive at any time on Sunday and check in after 2pm. After checking in, you are free to chill at the villa, hit the beach, or do some stand-up paddleboarding. A group orientation and introduction session are on Monday at lunchtime. But on Sunday evening you will get to know everyone as we will make reservations at a nice nearby restaurant for the whole group.

MondayIntro and start training

Sunrise Yoga Session 07.45 – 8:30 am
As with all days (Monday to Friday), start off with an early morning sunrise yoga session to stretch your muscles and ease you into training at 7.45 am. Sessions take place on the roof terrace overlooking the ocean, National Park and Sierra Tramontana mountain range.

Healthy Snack 08.30 am
Then time for a healthy snack consisting of fresh fruit and water. A full breakfast is served after the 9 – 10 am training session.

High-Intensity Training Fitness Sessions or Body 360 09.00-10:00 am
You´re about to experience cardio conditioning that will completely transform your body. It´s a challenge, but our amazing instructor can modify the toughest moves to help you push yourself at any level. The sessions may take place in the national park, around the beach house, on the beach or in a number of different training areas. These training sessions will increase your fitness levels very quickly.

Breakfast 10:00 – 11:00 am
Then time for a healthy breakfast consisting of fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast and eggs. Breakfast is served in the relaxing garden of the Beach house (Monday-Friday).

Stand Up Paddleboarding 11:00 – 12:00 am
Depending on the water conditions we have a daily stand-up paddle session. The Bay of Pollenca has crystal calm flat water in the morning and is the perfect place to do some stand-up paddle due to it being relatively shallow and exceptionally beautiful. Stand-up paddle is very good for your core strength and stability. Session done right would be better than doing countless crunches and it’s a lot more enjoyable! On Mondays, we include a lesson, the rest of the week you can just get a board and get out on the water at any time!

Buffet Lunch 01:30 – 02:30 pm
Buffet style healthy lunch served on the roof terrace or in the garden. (Monday to Friday).

Free Beach Time or Kite Surfing 2:30 – 04:00 pm
Time to some much needed R&R. Hit the beautiful beaches of Port de Pollenca. The nice sandy beaches are close by (5 minutes) and you will have your own bike to get you there. If you have booked the optional learn to kitesurf course, your training time will happen between 1.30 and pm. This is the optimal time to enjoy the thermal wind which pretty much guarantees your ability to learn to kitesurf right in front of the villa.

Optional Jog or Bike Circuits 04:00 – 06:00 pm
You have time to do a jog or bike circuit. You will be provided with a bicycle and a route. Note this is an unguided activity.

Beach Training, HIIT or Volleyball sessions 06:00 – 07:00 pm
At 6 PM do another group training session, which is another High Intensity Training style session, done 2 times a week on Tuesday and Thursday. One time a week participate in a beach volleyball training session or other beach training session which is a fun and effective way of getting the blood pumping! On Monday and Friday afternoons you have the opportunity to do a nature trek, this lasts approximately 2 ½ hours taking you through a beautiful valley, down to a secluded beach.

Back To The Beach House 07.00pm
At approximately 7 PM it’s time to head back to the accommodation for showers, prior to heading out with the rest of the group for dinner in the local town.

Tuesday to FridayTraining and fun!

The rest of the weekdays run more or less on the same schedule, there are however some minor changes throughout the week.

SaturdayExcursion day

Early risers are able to enjoy a beautiful sunrise SUP session, or perhaps you may prefer to sleep in. After a healthy breakfast at 8:30 AM on Saturday, it’s excursion day!

There is a range of options for excursions depending on the preference of the group. Some of these excursions are free and others incur a local charge.

Some of the excursion options include:
⦁ Speed boat hire: (Minimum for persons 100 EUR per person) includes captain, fuel and boat hire 4 hours)
⦁ Formentor Beach: Catch a glass bottom boat across to one of the most beautiful beaches. The journey takes 25 minutes from Puerto Pollensa to Formentor the views of the bay along the way are impressive. You can get a closer look at the lighthouse at Cap de Formentor and La Fortaleza, one of Spain’s most impressive estates. It is an open ticket, so you can choose the timetable you prefer to come back, so the choice of options is flexible and you are not in a rush.
⦁ Formentor look out. Head up to a beautiful world heritage site with dramatic clifftop views.
⦁ Water Park Excursion (entrance fee not included).
⦁ Pirate Boat Experience: five hours exploring the bay’s, beaches and cliffs of Majorca, on a pirate cruiser, includes snorkelling equipment and lunch. With pickup and drop-off from the villa. €60 per person.

SundayRelax before the new week or check-out day if departing

Sunday is a rest day if you are checking out you will have to vacate your room by 10 AM, but you are welcome to chill by the villa if you have a later flight. Say goodbye to your new friends and hello to maintaining a new healthier better you!

Training hard and efficiently is only one factor that goes into delivering great results. What you put into your body is arguably even more important. One of the great things about the Spain fitness bootcamp is the really healthy meals to really complement your fitness training goals. Nutritionists have been involved in the creation of a delicious healthy eating menu which is included in your program.

Accommodation in a boutique fitness Beach house with right by the sea

A beautiful Beach house apartment based on shared dorms. The accommodation is located right next to the training areas, so rolling out of bed and start training is easy. It is also a haven of relaxation when you are not training. Equipped with a rooftop terrace with views of the ocean.

Working out together and living together is a very bonding experience, it’s a great way to make friends. Don’t worry about needing your own space also. The villa is sufficiently big with plenty of chill out areas for you to catch some quiet time too.

Due to the nature of the fitness Bootcamp, people do not tend to have late-nights. You will be exhausted! So you can expect to get a good nights sleep in fan-cooled rooms.

Q & A

Where is the camp?
The camp is located in the North of Mallorca in the bay of Pollenca, arguably the best part of this Balearic island in Spain. Flights from Europe are short and often super cheap. For North Americans — we recommend finding the cheapest flight to Europe and then booking the leg to Mallorca separately. The training camp and accommodation are in the same spot, so no commuting. The camp is about 1 km from town and 50 meters from the sea and in a national park. It’s stunning. In the nearby towns you will really feel like you are on a holiday. Lots of restaurants and little bars around.

How do I get there?
Arrange your flight into Palma de Mallorca (PMI) and get on the bus to the nearby town Alcudia. It will take about 50 minutes by bus. You will be picked up from Alcudia, a 5 min drive. There will be a representative there with a sign with their name on.

What must I bring?
Please bring suitable training gear such as trainers, a couple of shorts, sports bras for women, and training tops. 3 quarter shorts to work out in are great. Bring about 3 sets of work out outfits. You can pack light because you can buy everything there if necessary. Bring a beach towel as well as a towel for the gym. Bring some warm layers for the evenings as even in June it can still be a bit chilly at night. There is a washing machine (cost per load is about $6).

Can I come alone?
YES! About 85% of people do this trip as a solo traveler. It’s a very sociable environment at the camp and you will make friends very quickly. You can also meet people online before you even leave home through an online buddy system (via Facebook) and you will all receive a number to be in the Whatsapp group before you arrive as well.

Will there be down time from training?
Yes! You can head to beaches, beach clubs, amazing viewpoints and look outs. You can get speedboats with a captain to relax on the water. There are amazing hikes. There are also a host of tours you can undertake.

What is the normal demographic split?
Probably 70% women 30% men. Both sexes tend to have different goals and motivations about booking the camp as well. With women it’s usually about toning up, weight loss and body confidence. With men it’s usually more about strength and conditioning training. Not exclusively, there are people who join for all reasons. The important thing to consider is everyone is catered for at the Bootcamp and people’s goals might change throughout their stay.

Why book this fitness trip?
There’s no gym in the Spain center, just a facility. You can practice yoga on the rooftop with amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea, do high-intensity interval training, training outdoors, SUP and volleyball sessions, and hike. You can join beginning every Sunday.

Camps run by Ultimate Fitness. Prices are in Euros. Any USD mentioned was converted using xe.com and is only an approximation of the actual cost. A 200 Euro deposit will be collected at time of booking. There is a no refund policy. So please be aware requests for refunds will not be considered. We strongly advise the uptake of travel insurance with cancellation cover after booking. Travel insurance is also highly recommended due to the physical nature of this trip.  There is a small price increase for solo travelers — just 200 Euros for the one-week trip and more for additional weeks. Contact us for details. There is a Mallorca Tourist Tax of €3.30 a day paid locally.
