Discover the Amalfi Coast through guided walks and hands-on cooking lessons. Visit the wondrous Pompeii, the island of Capri, Ravello, Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano and more. Stay in two beautiful accommodations both boasting breathtaking sea view rooms. This eight-night holiday is for those who crave exploration, fine food and wine and a full immersion into what makes “Bella Italia” so incredible.

Tour is offered from May through October 2020 (based on availability) and features scenic treks and cooking classes with two different chefs.

Day 1Pompeii & Sorrento Peninsula

Arrival in Naples Airport or Train Station. Private transfer to Marina del Cantone village (Sorrento Peninsula). You will stop on the way in Pompei where you will meet your private guide. You will see the Roman Forum; the theatre, the public baths with looming columns, the Anfiteatro which is the oldest-known Roman amphitheatre in existence. You will also tour bakeries, small family
restaurants, ancient Roman homes, the typical villa of ancient Pompeii’s richest citizens.

After your tour, you will travel to the village of Marina del Cantone, a small village of the Amalfi Coast, just across from the island of Capri. Your accommodation is a 3-star superior relais which is located right on the sea on the enchanting Salerno Gulf, between Capri and Positano. The hotel provides an oasis of taste and calm and you will have a beautiful sea view room.

Day 2Sirenuse Path & Sorrento

Length | 3 hours, 6 km; easy; hiking boots recommended
Drop | + 300 m

Meet your private guide at the hotel for a walk through the Sirenuse path. Transfer by private car to Sant’ Agata village where the path starts. You will enjoy the amazing view over the two Gulfs: the Gulf of Sorrento and the Gulf of Naples, immersed in the luscious green vegetation.

At the end of the path, transfer back to the hotel.

In the afternoon, you will have a private excursion by car and driver to Sorrento. Time at leisure in Sorrento. Dinner in a typical Pizzeria and transfer back to Marina del Cantone.

Day 3The Sorrento Peninsula Path

Meet your private guide at the hotel for a walk through the Sorrento Peninsula. You will reach Punta Campanella and Monte San Costanzo. Transfer back by car to Marina del Cantone.

Day 4Marina del Cantone – Cooking Lesson

In the morning you will have your first cooking lesson with the “Michelin-starred” chef of your hotel. The chef will draw on his own experience to reveal the secrets and the art of “la buona cucina”. You will prepare some typical dishes and lunch will follow.

Afternoon at leisure.

Day 5The Path of Gods (from Agerola to Positano)

Drop | 650 meters down-hill; steps end walking

Check out from the hotel in Marina del Cantone. Pick up and private transfer to Positano.

Accommodation is a 4 star hotel with sea view room where you will leave your luggage and you will meet your private guide. Private transfer by car to Agerola village. Then you will walk along the path named Sentiero degli Dei (“Path of the Gods”) which starts in Agerola, on the hills behind Positano and boasts wonderful views out over the sea and the coastline as far as the isle of Capri.

Day 6Capri Island

Length | 3 hours; easy
Drop | +150 meters; 150 meters

Meet your private guide at the hotel and then you will reach Capri by public hydrofoil, for a walking tour of the island. From Marina Grande you will reach Tragara viewpoint and the natural arc, on the southern side of the island through an old forest of holm-oak facing the typical Mediterranean bays of a calcareous island.

Time permitting, you can ride the cable car to Mount Solaro, Capri’s highest point with astounding vistas, or just stroll through the narrow streets of Capri village.

Overnight in Positano.

Day 7Ravello & Amalfi

Length | 3.5 hours; quite easy, steps and walking
Drop | +250, – 250meters

You will meet your private guide in Ravello. Walking from Ravello, the medieval pearl of the Coast, you will visit the amazing Villa Rufolo, and down to the Canneto Valley, the manufacturing place of the famous Amalfi paper.

Time at leisure in Amalfi and private transfer to Positano.

Overnight in Positano.

Day 8Cooking Lesson in Positano

In the morning you will have your second hands on cooking lesson. The lesson will take place in the kitchen of one the best restaurants in Positano. You will learn how to create typical dishes. Lunch will follow. Time at leisure in the afternoon.

Day 9Departure

Departure and transfer back to Naples Airport or Train Station.

Cancellation Policy: For cancellations received more than 60 days prior to departure the penalty is 30% of the total amount. For cancellations received 60 to 30 days prior to departure the penalty is 50% of the total amount. For cancellations received 29 days prior to departure the penalty is 100% of the total amount. Once the week has commenced there will be no refunds on unused portions. Cancellations due to medical reasons can be covered by travel insurance. We strictly adhere to this cancellation policy. We therefore recommend our clients take travel insurance to cover any cancellation. The tour reserves the right to cancel a course, in which case our liability will be limited to refunding all monies paid. Booking fees and payment method fees are non-refundable.

All holidays must be booked for a minimum of two people in order to run on that date.
