It felt as though I was floating with the clouds as I reclined in a chaise lounge in the sunny relaxation room of the spa at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center. With the floor-to-ceiling window in front of me, I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend a Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 700 pounds of crystals embedded into its walls, my experience was one to remember.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 1 – Arrival and Initial Thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Submit to luxury from the moment you arrive in Philly and have the hotel book a car to pick you up from the airport. The driver who picked me up from the airport made me feel fancy, valued and safe.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I arrived, I was greeted by the valets who directed me to the trio of glass-encased elevators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, I traveled up an express elevator to the 60th floor, where the hotel lobby was located. There, I was greeted with a stunning view of the city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Room at Four Seasons Philadelphia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once I checked in, I headed to my room which I considered a hotel heaven.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rooms were both modern but cozy with curved birchwood wall panels, a deep soaking tub, full minibar, electric tea kettle and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking landmarks like the Philadelphia Museum of Art. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a long day of travel, I decided to make the most of my room and curled up in my PJs. I then used the in-room tablet to order juicy burgers, fries and glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I chatted with the front desk at room service and ordered extra pillows from housekeeping to snuggle up with. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 2 – Room Service Meals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The next morning, I literally woke up in the clouds and couldn\u2019t see beyond the white fluff in the window. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I enjoyed a beautiful room service spread of frittata, green juice and bacon, the clouds parted and repealed a beautiful fall day.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After devouring more room service with a lunch of velvety tomato soup, chick pea hummus and a glass of ros\u00e9, it was time for my weekend to begin.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Walk in The City<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With it being fall, I headed for a walk in the city through the crunch leaves. The property is in a centralized location, making it an easy walk to many sites. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where I made a point to run up the famous steps from Rocky <\/em>and snapped a photo with the commemorative statue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the sun setting soon, I headed back to the hotel. I couldn’t wait to take a relaxing bath and soak in my tub.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dinner at JG Skyhigh<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I headed back to the 60th floor lounge and visited JG Skyhigh, the hotel\u2019s restaurant, for dinner.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The smooth sounds of a live jazz duo and the starry Philadelphia skyline were the perfect backdrop for a dinner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At JG Skyhigh, indulged with prosecco and tuna tartare and a slice of chocolate layer cake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 3 – Morning Breakfast and Run <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the sun shining, I opted for sunny side up eggs, bacon and green juice in the comfort of my room.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since my friend, Jodi, was slated to join me for a spa afternoon, I decided to get in a 45-minute run. I saw a few sights including Independence Hall and Philadelphia City Hall.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Entering The Spa<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I showed up to my appointment about 30 minutes early to settle in and enjoy the relaxation room a bit.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like every other area of this property, the spa did a stellar job of balancing safety and indulgence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I arrived, I was escorted into the locker room area on the 57th floor and was welcomed with natural lighting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my locker was the traditional robe, as well as a little package that included a brush, lotion and eucalyptus shower spray for my personal use. Sandals had all been sanitized and were individual sealed plastics bags. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snuggled into my robe, I found a seat in one of the comfy chaise lounges in the relaxation room. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to masks being required your entire visit to the spa, each person is separated by a plastic partition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I appreciated that the spa did not sacrifice the drink and snack amenities during the pandemic. Guests can choose from individually packaged smoked almonds, chocolate-covered blueberries, water, tea or a post-treatment glass of bubbly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Signature Spa Treatment Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I opted for one of the spa\u2019s signature treatments, the Crystal Oil Massage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of this treatment, I was asked a series of questions by my therapist, Amy, to determine the crystals that would be used in my 50-minute full-body massage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the end of my treatment, my muscles felt like butter. Amy gave me a crystal that I\u2019d been drawn to early in the treatment to continue providing good energy once I left the spa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My friend Jodi received the same treatment and agreed that it was phenomenal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Post-treatment, we enjoyed a dip in the hotel\u2019s infinity pool which overlooked the city skyline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dinner at Vernick Fish<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jodi and I dolled up for dinner at Vernick Fish, located inside the hotel. This restaurant is James Beard Award-Winning chef Greg Vernick\u2019s take on an American Oyster Bar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jodie and I devoured oysters, torched hamachi crudo with blood orange and jalape\u00f1o, saffron and chili shrimp, and a grilled dorade with pumpkin seed and arbor chile that was spiced to perfection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We treated ourselves to pumpkin tart and chocolate cake for dessert and every bite was an experience for our senses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Evening at Four Seasons Philadelphia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since we weren’t in the mood to go out, we did the next best thing: put on our PJs and headed up to the infinity pool to sit in lounge chairs and observe the skyline.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While we lounged and reflected, I knew that the next day I\u2019d be whisked back to the airport by a driver.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, in that moment, I was immersed in my surroundings, soaking up every bit of sky-high luxury that this hotel offers, dreaming to return here soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
