A Dream Set Sail in Croatia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
In 2018, in a cozy caf\u00e9 in the Austrian Alps, I shared my dream of creating an intimate Croatia sailing experience with a dear friend. And that\u2019s when it all began. A vision took root in my mind where guests could indulge in delectable cuisine, soulful music, heartfelt laughter and genuine connections\u2014all while feeling rejuvenated and inspired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Long, joy-filled dinners. Music spilling into the night. Daily swims in the crystal-clear Adriatic. Mornings with breathtaking sunrises. Evenings painted in the richest hues of sunset. Each day would begin with yoga on deck as we sailed Croatia’s waters, stretching body and mind. A ritual of deep nourishment\u2014an invitation to slow down and be present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fast forward six months, and my dream became reality, setting sail on our first journey aboard MV Paradis. Since then, I\u2019ve continued to co-host voyages that capture that same spirit <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you sail Croatia, you discover it isn’t just about getting from one charming historic town to another. It’s about surrendering to the rhythm of the sea and trusting that it will take you exactly where you need to be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Growing up in Croatia, I know all the hidden gems. Quiet, pristine bays where the water shimmers like glass. Seaside taverns tucked away, where the owner insists you try his grandmother\u2019s recipe. And those rare, unplanned moments of soulful connection and deep awe\u2014the kind that stays with you forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Croatians have a gift for spontaneity\u2014turning an ordinary meal into a celebration, creating moments out of nothing. One of my captains once told me, \u201cDon’t be too attached to your itinerary. The wind and the sea are the first to decide our course.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was at that moment that I was able to let go of expectations. In that surrender, what transpired was the most transformative journey I could have ever imagined. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The best way to sail Croatia’s coastline is without rigid plans. Let the day unravel. Whether that means an impromptu feast, a detour to a secret cove or an unexpected encounter that becomes part of your story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But to thoroughly know a place, you must taste it. Croatian cuisine is rich in history, shaped by land and sea. The best meals aren’t found on a menu. They’re the ones recommended by a chef who tells you, “This is what I’d eat today.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n Fresh seafood, hand-pressed olive oil, truffles unearthed from Istrian forests\u2014every dish is a story waiting to be savored. And as you eat, there will be music, because music is as essential as air in Croatia. It’s woven into the fabric of everyday life, filling the streets, the caf\u00e9s\u2014and the decks of yachts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n There’s something unforgettable about sailing beneath a starlit Croatian sky, a guitar strumming softly and voices blending in a song that needs no translation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each August, I have the privilege of sharing Croatia with a small group of guests who quickly become like family. Aboard our elegant yachts, we embrace a slower, more immersive way of travel\u2014savoring fresh food, movement, music and meaningful connection as the endless blue of the Adriatic stretches before us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There\u2019s an indescribable pleasure in the rhythm of the waves, the warmth of the sun and the deep sense of connection that comes from being surrounded by such breathtaking beauty. Having spent most of my life in this wonder, I can say with certainty that there\u2019s no better way to experience Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sailing along Croatia\u2019s stunning coastline offers a mix of history, nature and hidden gems waiting to be explored. From secluded beaches to vibrant island towns, these are my seven must-visit destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Once a military secret, Vis remains one of the most untouched islands in Croatia. Its rugged coastline, secluded beaches and the famous Blue Cave make it an unmissable destination for those craving tranquility and raw natural beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Known for its vibrant nightlife and luxurious beach clubs, Hvar also offers breathtaking lavender fields, historic architecture and hidden vineyards producing some of Croatia\u2019s finest wines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rich in medieval charm, Kor\u010dula is often called a \u201cmini Dubrovnik.\u201d Its walled old town, rich history and exceptional white wine (Grk) make it a highlight for culture lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mljet National Park is a nature lover\u2019s paradise. Swim in saltwater lakes, kayak to a monastery on an island within a lake and enjoy the peace of this lush, unspoiled retreat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This stunning cove on Vis Island is accessible only by boat or a steep hike, making it one of the most exclusive and breathtaking beaches in Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Step back in time in this perfectly preserved medieval town, often overlooked in favor of Split or Dubrovnik. Wander through narrow alleyways and soak in the history of this stunning coastal gem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With almost no light pollution, Lastovo offers some of the best stargazing in Europe. Its untamed landscapes, fresh seafood and slow pace make it a haven for those wanting to escape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n While there is so much to see and experience, the true magic of sailing Croatia comes in the moments of stillness.
